- The U.S. General Services Administration, Great Lakes Region, is issuing a Sources Sought Announcement for the interior renovation of an historic courtroom, judge's chambers, and support spaces (approximately 3,200 square feet ) located on the 3 rd floor of the Federal Courthouse Building in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to determine the interest, availability, and capability of Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, 8(a), HUBZone, and Small Business concerns as described below. The NAICS code for this procurement is 236220. The estimated construction cost is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The work includes demolition of existing ceiling diffusers, devices, ductwork and conduit, and floor materials. Alterations to the existing sprinkler system, security system, and fire alarm system are included. New work includes, but is not limited to, new partitions, doors, ceilings, lighting, electrical, sprinklers, and ductwork throughout. Floor finishes include wood, carpet, and ceramic tile. Wall finishes vary and will include painted drywall in office/conference area; painted drywall with stained woodwork in judge's chambers and office corridor, and wood and marble wall paneling with veneer plaster in courtroom. The millwork required is extensive and is expected to comprise approximately 25% of the work. The millwork must be installed per Architectural Woodwork Institute (AWI) Architectural Woodwork Standards. The full extent of the work will be described in the solicitation when it is posted. No other information will be available before the solicitation is posted. This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT for planning purposes only. Market research is being conducted to determine if there are Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, 8(a), HUBZone, or Small Businesses with the capabilities and experience to perform the required work. All interested parties should submit a capabilities package to include business classification (i.e. SDVOSB, HUBZone, etc..), as well as examples of three projects completed within the last five years that included the work specified above that will be required under this project (including millwork installed pursuant to AWI standards), and that had a total project cost in the same range estimated for this project.
