- Description
- The purpose of this amendment is to provide answers to the following questions posed by potential offerors. Question: Can VME card include P0 connector? Does their backplane/chassis permit this? Response: We do not require the presence of a P0 connector, but cannot guarantee that our chassis will support the inclusion of one. Some of our backplanes are monolithic, but some are split. Question: Linux: Wind River Kernel? or 3 rd party kernel? Response: We intend to use the Fedora Core variant of Linux (currently at version 13). Compiled, closed, binary-only board support packages will be of little use to us as we need to be able to keep up with releases of the operating system. Board support packages that we can compile are better. Question: Windows: XP DOS? or XP embedded? Response: At present, if we use Windows, it would be XP professional. Question: What are the part numbers? Response: As there are no particular brand names specified, no specific part numbers are needed.
