Description

"THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTORS UNDER REMEDIAL ACTION CONTRACT (RAC), CONTRACT EP-S4-09-02." THE U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Region 4 issued modification #009 to a task order # 0001 adding funds in the amount of $550,000.00 to continue remedial action at the United Metals Site, a former battery reclaiming facility located at 1690 Highway 71, Marianna, Florida. This requirement is under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). This modification was required due to changes in site conditions as a result of additional battery waste disposed of at the United Metals Superfund Site outside of the design cut lines established for the project. Additional site soils have also required excavation, treatment, and placement into a cell due to failure of samples taken for post excavation confirmation sampling. The additional soil volumes, associated debris, and additional backfill required to replace the additional excavated soil volumes required a task order modification for both cost and schedule impacts associated with the extra work. This action brings the total task order value to $7,491,421.00. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.
