Description

THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT, NOT A REQUEST FOR A PROPOSAL/QUOTE. A SOLICITATION DOCUMENT WILL NOT BE ISSUED AND PROPOSALS/QUOTES WILL NOT BE REQUESTED. The National Institutes of Health, NIDCD, intends to negotiate and award a fixed price purchase order on a noncompetitive basis with Illumina Inc, 9885 Towne Centre Drive, San Diego CA 92121 for the purchase of a Human Cyto SNP-12c2.1 DNA Analysis BeadChip Kit. These kits will be used to genotpe families segregating hereditary deafness. The sole source determination is based on Illumina being the only supplier of the SNP genotyping chilps for the Bead Workstation, the instrument was purchased previously and the DNA Analysis BeadChip Kits have to be used along side the Bead Workstation, the two items will not function properly without one or the other. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) is 334516. This acquisition is being conducted under FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, and is exempt from the requirements of FAR Part 6, Competition Requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes or proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest or capabilities or may wish to comment in response to this notice for consideration of any future requirement by the due date.
