Description
The Federal Bureau of Investigation intends to negotiate a sole-source, firm-fixed price contract with Harris RF Communication, Rochester, NY, under Request for Quote (RFQ) RFQ-C004647. This notice will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) web site www.fedbizopps.gov. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the FBO site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Harris RF Communication is to provide the following items: Radio Assembly with GPS (Part# AN/PRC-152(V)2(C)), Dual-Bay Battery Charger (Part# RF-5853-CH002), Six-Bay Battery Charger (Part# RF-5853-CH006), High Capacity Rechargeable Lithium Ion Battery (Part# 12041-2100-02), Handheld Radio Flip-down Holster (Part# RF-5933-CA002), Security Force Communication Set (Part# RF-5961-HS003), AA Battery Adapter (Part# RF-5911-PS001), Adapter Assembly, KVL 300 Adapter (Part# 12053-6400-01), GPS Antenna Kit (Part# 10511-0400-01), Software Option, HPW & P25 Waveforms (Part# 12041-8940-0006), Computer Based Training, AN/PRC-152 (Part# 10515-0283-7100). Based on market research via a market survey with other possible vendors and the World Wide Web it has been determined that the FBI's requirement for these AN/PRC-152 tactical radios can only be provided by Harris RF Communication because they are the only company that can provide these FBI-approved radios. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement or submit proposals to this office by 2:00 PM, EST, Thursday, September 2, 2010, via facsimile to the attention of Mr. David L. Marmo, Contracting Officer, at (202) 324-3491, or via E-mail at David.Marmo@ic.fbi.gov. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The North American Industrial Classification System number is 334220. This contract will be awarded as a commercial item in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation, Part 12. Telephone requests will not be accepted.
