- The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Puget Sound intends to award a Time & Material, Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite-Quantity, single award, services type contract, in support of the U.S. Naval Ship Repair Facility, Yokosuka, Japan. The proposed procurement is for the contractor to provide technical assistance, as required, to the Ship Repair Facility and Japan Regional Maintenance Center Yokosuka (SRF-JRMC Yokosuka) by providing technical assistance in the radiographic inspection (X-Ray) of various US Naval ships ™ sonar domes. Place of Performance is Yokosuka, Japan. The period of performance shall be from date of contract award, through one year thereafter, with two one-year option periods. FOB Destination. The Trade Agreement Act of 1979 does not apply to this procurement. The Buy American Act does apply to this procurement. Inspections must be accomplished by NAVSEA approved contractors Must meet qualification requirements per FAR 52.209-1 at time of award. The Acquisition is unrestricted. Offers will be evaluated on the basis of Best Value to the Government; that is, selection of the contractor is to be based on other than the lowest price, technically acceptable offer. It is anticipated that the RFP will be issued on or about September 1, 2010 and closing approximately September 10, 2010. This solicitation and any subsequent amendments will be posted to the NECO website: http://www.neco.navy.mil. Prospective offerors are responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation from this website and for frequently monitoring that site for any amendments. The Government is not responsible for any inability of the offeror to access the posted documents. Electronic submission of proposals/quotes is not available at this time.
