- Description
- Q26 : What is the estimated frequency distribution of the six (6) sample forms over the estimated 730,000 flat records? A26: We don't have this information. Q27: What is the estimated number of microfiche TIFF images? A27: We don't have this information. Q28: What is the estimated frequency distribution of the six (6) sample forms over the total estimated number of TIFF images? A28: We don't have this information. Q29: Are the sample forms provided in the SOL documents represent all the versions of forms expected in the project? A29: Yes. Q30: Are actual samples of TIFF images taken from the microfilm source available for each form type? A30: No. Q31: Are tables for species names and species codes available for validation? A31: Species name and its associated species code list will be available upon requested; however, some codes (and its names) on the forms may not concurred to code and name on the list, e.g. Name matched but code don't matched. In this case, contractor should key punch the value that appeared on the form. Q32: Do the species names and associated codes change form to form? Will they change over the years spanning the project (1949-1965)? A32: No. Same code and species name. However, species name (and code) printed on each form may not be in the same order, and species name on one form may not appear on a different form. Q33: I am going through the posted in the eval and I am unable to find the volume of the work that needs to be done. WE will like to do this project and if we get a good estimate of the work then we can provide a better quote. A33: As specified in the RFQ, it is estimated about 726,000 (flat) records to be key-punching. Q34: Are there counts available for each one of the 6 forms and if so, could you please provide those? A34: No. The numbers of record per form type are not available. Q35: I'm not sure if you are taking any more questions but I do have one more that is directly related to pricing. I notice on the forms there are several items that are "codes" such as Gear Code and Type of Fishing Code. Will the value associated with each code always be unique and if so will the Division of Fish and Game be able to provide the tables. It would allow us to key just the code and populate the description saving many keystrokes. A35: Yes. The code list would be available upon requested; however, some codes (and its names) on the forms may not concurred to code and name on the list, e.g. Name matched but code don't matched. In this case, contractor should key punch the value that appeared on the form.
