Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN 3), James J. Peters VA Medical Center, Bronx New York, Network Acquisitions and Logistics program is currently seeking firms, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Veteran Owned Small Business, Hubzone, 8(A) OR Small Business with the ability to: a.Design and implement national food safety and defense training programs. This would include all new policies and procedures, templates and checklists as well as review of existing ones. Within the approximately 150 VA Nutrition and Food Services (NFS) operations there are several different types of food service operations. Training should emphasize the following vulnerabilities and gaps including recall procedures, bioterrorism preparedness, CARVER+Shock Analysis for self-assessments. Training format could be in the form of regional meetings, teleconference or webinar. Target audience includes Nutrition and Food Services (NFS) Chiefs, NFS Supervisors and possibly front-line workers such as cooks and food service workers. b.Develop new food safety and defense templates to incorporate into VISN and facility operational policies and procedures and reduce variances within the VISNs and facilities. c.Develop model templates for local contracts to increase VISN and local controls of food safety and defense. Responses must include information about your company, prior experience and indicate if you have prior experience with VA hospitals, and a service capability statement. Provide a minimum of three "REFERENCES" for same or similar services. All emails from interested parties must be received by 11:00 AM, August 31, 2010.
