Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Reference PR1300171321 Request for Quotation (RFQ) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisitions Circular 05-44. No set-aside is applicable to this procurement as the government expects a single source response to the synopsis. (Bugeye Technologies). The NAICS code for this procurement is 334119. Requirement: Multi-Purpose Reconfigurable Cockpit - Multi-purpose reconfigurable complete cockpit system featuring F18E controls with interface module and a 26" touch screen for use as a Heads-Down-Display (HDD) and an integrated structure that supports and includes (3) 55" Out-The-Window displays. - Top-level drawings to be provided for each subassembly at the time of delivery. - Flight control grips to replicate actual flight controls of F18 aircraft. - System should be designed to be broken-down for shipment and reassembled for use. - Simulated ejection seat assembly to be included. - The design of the test system is based on an existing Government design already in use in Patuxent River. Both previous prototype installations have been field tested successfully. - The particular name brand and model requirements are based on the proven prototype for Government design. Future acquisitions of the technology could possibly consider other makes and models of training stations of appropriate design and test schedule/funding was available to ensure complete operational performance within the prototype design.
