- This announcement is posted as a request for information only, for an upcoming Request for Proposal (RFP) that will be posted in FEDBIZOPPS. This request for information is issued to determine whether or not there are qualified sources that will be able to meet the requirements. The RFQ will be for Psychiatric Services male and female offenders in a residential Re-entry and Sanctions Center (RSC) facility in the District of Columbia. The RSC provides intensive assessments and reintegration programming for high-risk offenders and defendants with extensive substance abuse histories who are under the supervision of the Government (pre-trial, probation, or parole). Defendants or offenders referred to the RSC receive evaluation, counseling, treatment readiness, and referral services to other treatment facilities. The period of performance will be a base year with four one year options. The requirements are as follows for each performance period: BASE PERIOD Individual Psychiatric Pre-Screening Evaluations Conducts Psychiatric Evaluations (624Sessions) Psychiatric Interventions Services Facilitates Group Interventions (208 Sessions) Individual Consultation Services (208 Sessions) Medication Management Services (378 Clients) Presents Findings in an Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) (104 Meetings) Facilitates Training for RSC Staff (1 Session) Participates in Mandatory CSOSA Sponsored Training (3 Sessions) If you have an interest in the upcoming solicitation, please provide a written response to the questions below and provide your response to Elijah Anderson, Contracting Officer via email at elijah.anderson@csosa.gov. You are advised that providing responses to the questions will not automatically include you in the acquisition process for this solicitation. Each prospective offeror must monitor the FedBizOpps.gov site for release of the solicitation. REQUEST FOR INFORMATION 1. What experience do your firm / organization have in providing drug abuse/mental treatment to offender population? 2. What experience does firm / organization have working with law enforcement agencies or community corrections centers (halfway houses)? 3. Does your firm / organization use a cognitive-behavioral approach to drug abuse/mental treatment programs? 4. What treatment techniques (if any) do your firm / organization employ to target criminality (i.e. changing antisocial behavior and feelings, reducing antisocial peer associations, increasing self -control, etc.)? 5. What assessment tools does your firm / organization? 6. What type of group therapy do your firm / organization offer? 7. Would your firm / organization have problems obtaining and maintaining qualified staff? 8. Do you feel a pre-solicitation conference would provide any assistance in clarifying the requirement for this area? If so, explain how it would be helpful. 9. Are there innovations in the area of drug abuse/mental treatment that the CSOSA could benefit from and if so what are they? 10. What is the standard coverage for this area for medical liability insurance per specialty per occurrence? Verify the amount.
