- This Market Survey is issued in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Acquisition Management System (AMS) Section 3.2.1.2.1. The purpose of this Markey Survey is to determine whether or not adequate competition exists to meet requirements of full and open competition and to determine the feasibility of a set aside for small business, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses or eligible socially and economically disadvantaged businesses (SEDB) that are certified by the Small Business Administration (SBA) for participation in the SBA's 8(a) Program. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has a requirement for the acquisition of an estimated quantity of 100 System Interface Units. The System Interface Unit should be an existing product with the ability of interfacing radar data to STARS, CARTS, ERAM, HOST and ECG. (See Attachment A for technical specifications). All Firms responding are required to return the attached Business Declaration Form (Attachment B) and a copy of their 8(a) certification (if applicable). Any interested sources may respond to this announcement. The FAA intends to review all response submittals to help establish an acquisition strategy.The principle North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this effort is 334511, "Air Traffic Control Radar Systems and Equipment Manufacturing". Interested vendors are requested to provide a capabilities summary of not more than 5 pages to include the following information: 1)Identify capability to meet specific requirements in Attachment A.2)State the number of existing System Interface Units in the field sold by the respondent to include the sites where the FAA may observe the unit and the contract vehicle under which they were procured, along with the contract /delivery order number(s), if applicable.3)Indicate any automation platforms for which the unit is currently supporting. 4)Identify warranty policies, current prices and any quantity discounts. 5)Indicate the capability to submit a unit for testing if required to do so. 6) Provide a completed business declaration form (see Attachment B), and SBA 8(a) form if applicable.
