Description
Revised Solicitation Amendment A0001 The U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) is now issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) for closing agent services for single family properties owned by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in two geographic areas in Northern California. HUD intends to award two contracts to cover Northern California. Contract Area 1 includes the following counties: Fresno, Inyo, Kern, Kings, Madera, Mariposa, Merced, Mono, Monterey, San Benito,San Luis Obispo and Tulare. Contract Area 2 includes the following counties: Alameda, Alpine, Amador, Butte, Calaveras, Colusa, Contra Costa, Del Norte, El Dorado, Glenn, Humboldt, Lake, Lassen, Marin, Mendocino, Modoc, Napa, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, Sacramento, San Joaquin, Santa Clara, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Cruz, Shasta, Sierra, Siskiyou, Sutter, Solano, Sonoma, Stanislaus, Tehama, Trinity, Tuolumne, Yolo and Yuba. The primary objective is to perform closings of HUD-owned properties as quickly as possible, within 50 miles of the subject property. A purchaser is normally allowed 30-60 calendar days to close a transaction, however, sometimes HUD may offer special incentive programs to homebuyers to close in a shorter period of time, such as 15 days after contract signing. The contractor is expected to coordinate with the Management and Marketing contractor (M&M) to accomplish the closing within the allotted timeframe unless an extension is necessary due to circumstances outside of the contractor's control. The contract will be performance-based with incentives and disincentives. The contract duration will be for one year with four one-year options. This acquisition is being procured under full and open competition. The solicitation is available for downloading from the Federal Business Opportunity website on 7/16/2010. The NAICS Code is 541191 with a size standard of $7 million. No hard copies of the solicitation will be made available. Telephone and email requests for the solicitation will not be accepted. Offerors need to respond with a written proposal by 2:00 p.m. (MST) on 8/23/2010. Potential offerors must download the RFP from this website and frequently check for amendments on this website. QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS AND CHANGES TO THE SOLICITATION ARE CONTAINED IN THIS POSTING. NO FURTHER QUESTIONS WILL BE CONSIDERED.
