At the sole discretion of the US Government an optional number of hours of surveillance detection services that may be required is estimated at 166,400, including supervisors for the SD program. The anticipated performance is for one base period and four one-year periods at the option of the Government. Major duties and responsibilities are to perform access control to limit entry to only authorized personnel or visitors, the operation of walk-through metal detectors, hand-held detectors and special monitoring devices, as well as protect life, maintain order, deter attacks against employees, dependents and Government property. All proposals submitted in accordance to the instruction given in Section L shall be given consideration.
