- Description
- The U.S. Department of Commerce (USDOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric and Administration (NOAA), and National Marine Fisheries Services, intends to procure a contract to provide Historic Inventory of Acropora in the Puerto Rico in accordance with the attached Solicitation. This is a small business set-aside. The NAICS code for this action is 541990. Small business size standard shall not to exceed 500 Employees. Contractor shall conduct data mining in Puerto Rico in order to gather information regarding where, when, and which listed coral species were present, their condition at the time of the study, and the coverage of these corals (if available) using scientific information, agency reports, environmental assessments and benthic and marine habitat surveys prepared for coastal development projects, university theses, and other relevant literature. An important partner in this effort includes Department of Natural and Environmental Resources (DNER) in Puerto Rico, as the agency has library and other records that can be searched for information relevant to this project, and will provide staff time to assist in finding these documents. Records from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and NOAA Fisheries will also require searching, but our move to new buildings will require that these searches be delayed until later in the project. Task 1 - 400 total labor hours plus travel and other expenses over a 10-month period. Task 2 - 300 total labor hours plus other expenses, such as printing of reports, over a 13-month period. Task 3 - 120 total labor hours plus other expenses over a 3-month period. The tasks are to run concurrently. This support service is being procured under the guidelines of FAR Part 12, Commercial Items Procedures. Interested parties can request a copy of the Request for Quotation or download a copy from this site to obtain the Request for Quotation no later than August 16, 2010. Faxed requests can be sent to 816-274-6983, Attn: Sharon Walker. The government requires that all contractors doing business with the government must be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR).
