SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS FOR Ambient Pressure Delay Initiator B-2 Bomber Aircraft Department of the Air Force, Air Force Materiel Command, OO-ALC/GHGKA PURPOSE/DESCRIPTION This is a Source Sought Synopsis announcement, market research for information only, to be used for preliminary planning purposes. This market research is being conducted to identify potential sources possessing the engineering and manufacturing knowledge for the Ambient Pressure Delay Initiators used on the B-2 Aircraft. No proposal is requested or accepted from synopsis. This is not a solicitation for proposal and no contract shall be awarded from this synopsis. The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command, OO-ALC/GHGKA, Hill AFB is conducting a market survey for the following Ambient Pressure Delay Initiator requirements. National Stock Number 1377-01-318-5648 Part Number 3862100-4 INSTRUCTION Provide relevant experience to include performing engineering, manufacturing, inspection, and testing of similar Ambient Pressure Delay Initiators in the last 5 years. Company Profile will include the following: A. Number of employees. B. Office Location C. CAGE Code D. DUNS Number E. Small Business designation/status claimed No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow up information requests. The Government has very limited technical data to provide to potential offerors. Offerors must possess access to all appropriate data. Universal Propulsion Company (UPCO), Fairfield, CA has the capability and drawings for the Ambient Pressure Delay Initiators and the government does not own or have the rights to use the data required to manufacture this device. Interested offerors shall respond to this Source Sought Synopsis no later than 3:00 PM 19 August 2010.
