- Provide Janitorial Services for Meridian Air Traffic Control Tower (ATCT) and Work Center, Meridian, Mississippi. The Federal Aviation Administration, Eastern Logistics Service Area anticipates awarding the contract for an initial base period of 1 (one) year with four (one-year) options. Issue date for solicitation: August 5, 2010Due date for offers: August 26, 2010Start date for performance: October 1, 2010 This acquisition is "Full and Open Competition" for businesses located within the state of Mississippi. Note: A tiered evaluation will be utilized, see Section "M" of the solicitation package. The NAICS code for the acquisition is 561720, Janitorial services. Offers are due: Thursday, August 26, 2010 at 5:00 pm Eastern Standard Time (EST). To be considered for the award of this project, the contractor must be currently registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database (website: www.ccr.gov). This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
