- BJCA-WH-0610 COMMERCIAL WATER HEATER The Brooklyn Job Corps A+cademy is soliciting bids for the installation of one DIRECT VENT, HIGH EFFICIENCY, GAS STORAGE water heater in their cafeteria kitchen. The Brooklyn Job Corps Academy is a federally funded training program for youths. The program operates year round with approximately 210 trainees. The Brooklyn Job Corps Academy is operated by ResCare, Inc. for the United States Department of Labor. SCOPE OF WORK: Deliver and install one new direct-vent 100 gallon, high-efficiency, commercial gas water heater (AO Smith Cyclone Xi BTH-199 or equivalent). Contractor must provide a minumum of two years warranty on all work performed. It is the sole responsibility of the selected subcontractor to acquire and provide all labor, materials and equipment necessary to complete the services. SAFETY AND HEALTH: All work shall be accomplished in a safe and efficient manner, with minimal disruption to the operation of the Academy. The subcontractor represents, by acceptance of any resultant agreement that they are in compliance with all regulations and standards flowing from the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 (P.O. 91-596,29 USC 651 et seq.) In the event hazardous materials are involved, subcontractor will comply with Federal Standards No. 310 dated July 1971 to the latest change, entitled "Symbols for Packages and Containers for Hazardous Chemicals and Materials." Moreover, the subcontractor also acknowledges by acceptance of any resultant agreement, that all work and materials used in the performance of the contract duties meet federal, state, local (New York City) and OSHA regulations. PROPOSAL SUBMISSION: Along with proposal please include all signed attachments, required licenses and/or permits, as well as proof of liability coverage. Interested parties should respond to the above solicitation by the close of business on August 11, 2010 to be eligible for award. Bidders are encouraged to schedule a visit to the site.
