Description
The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), Research Triangle Park, NC intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Appropriate Technical Resources, Inc., Laurel, MD 20725-0460 pursuant to 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1)--Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This procurement is for the purchase of 1 each of the following: I10002 - AJ125 Multitron II NC 25 mm, 115V 60Hz., I10402 - AJ125BC Multitron II BC 25mm base cooling 115V 60HZ., I51130 - ZM110 Cover Frame, I51110 - ZM111 Double Bar set and 2 (two) I20011 ATM00 tray w/ Green Squares (Squares 8' x 8') 8 squares. Based on review of other commercial double floor model incubator shakers Appropriate Technical Resources, Inc. was determined to be the only package that met all of our requirements. Each ATR incubator shaker has the capacity to hold 13 2L flasks in a 42' wide footprint or 8 4L flasks. The incubator shakers are the only environmental incubator shakers in the market that allow for the control shaker speed, temperature, CO2 and humidity independently in each shaker in the stack. This system is a double stacked incubator shaker that arrives delivered stacked and ready for use. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability. Respond to this requirement by submitting written capabilities / specifications to the Contracting Specialist at the address provided. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all responses received within 9 days from the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If no affirmative responses are received within 9 days of this notice to determine whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the Government, the order will be issued to Appropriate Technical Resources, Inc. The NAICS Code/Size is 334516/500 Employees. This procurement is to be processed using Simplified Acquisition Procedures in conjunction with FAR Part 12 Commercial Item Acquisition of Commercial Items.
