- Source Qualification Statement NSN 9163 Source Qualification Statement NSN 9162 A-10 Left and Right Hand Trim Tabs announcement constitutes a Sources Sought Synopsis/Request for Information for the manufacture of A-10 Left and Right Hand Trim Tabs (NSN's: 1560-01-093-9162FJ, PN: 160D712140-5) & (1560-01-093-9163FJ, PN: 160D712140-6). The following information is provided to assist the Air Force in conducting market research of industry to identify potential contractors for the A-10 Trim Tabs. The Government is neither negotiating nor calling for offers at this time; this announcement is an expression of interest only and does not commit the Government to pay for any response preparation cost. The United States Air Force is seeking potential offerors who are interested and believe they possess the technical capability, resources, facilities and tooling/forging dies to manufacture subject assets. The government owns the data for the manufacture of the Trim Tabs. Also, the government owns tooling for the manufacture of the trim tabs; however, the tooling is unavailable indefinitely for contractor use at this time. The government may purchase new tooling if necessary. If applicable, a price evaluation adjustment for use of government property will be applied IAW FAR 52.245-9 Use and Charges. If government furnished tooling is required, a separately listed cost of rental charges will be added to the total amount proposed for evaluation purposes only. The Global Logistics Support Center (GLSC) at Hill Air Force Base UT, intends to award a contract for the manufacture of A-10 Left and Right Hand Trim Tabs (NSN's: 1560-01-093-9162FJ, PN: 160D712140-5) & (1560-01-093-9163FJ, PN: 160D712140-6). Current plans call for the Air Force to acquire manufacturing support through one or more indefinite-delivery contracts awarded using competitive procedures. It is anticipated that subject manufacturing contract(s) will be Firm Fixed Price, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract(s) with a 3 year ordering period. The minimum ordering amount is anticipated to be 20 units for NSN 9162 and 27 units for 9163 with an anticipated maximum of 82 units for NSN 9162 and 87 for NSN 9163. Anticipated contract award date is September 30th, 2010. Copies of the submitted information will be reproduced and submitted to the A-10 sustainment/supportability contract Integrated Process Team (IPT) for review. Results of the review will be used to develop the acquisition strategy and draft the Request for Proposal (RFP).
