Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice and in accordance with the simplified acquisition procedures authorized in FAR Part 13. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The office of NOAA National Marine Fisheries Service intends to acquire the following Applied Biosystems regeants and laboratory supplies: 1.) 24 each ABI POP4: separation matrix for performing fragment analysis and sequencing on the 3100 Genetic Analyzer and 3100-Avant TM Genetic Analyzer. Usage per bottle: 960 samples.  Special Shipping instructions: Pop4 shall be shipped with the newest lot with the maximum shelf life available. The shipment shall occur in two lots of 12. 12 at the awarding of the PO and 12 on or around December 1, 2010. 2.) 10 each ABI Liz 500: Used for or sizing DNA samples in the 50-500 nucleotides range and provides sixteen single-stranded labeled fragments labeled fragments of: 35, 50, 75, 100, 139, 150, 160, 200, 250, 300, 340, 350, 400, 450, 490, and 500 nucleotides. 800 rxn per unit. 3.) 10 each ABI 10X buffer: 10X Running buffer used during electrophoresis on Applied Biosystems 310, 3100, 3100-AVANT, 3130, and 3130xl Genetic Analzyers. 25 ml per bottle 4.) ABI Formamide: Highly deionized formamide used for electrokinetic injection on capillary electrophoresis systems. 25 ml per bottle 5.) 3 each ABI 36 and 80 CM arrays: 16-capillary array (internally uncoated) for the 3100 Genetic Analyzers. Used for fragment analysis and sequencing applications. Usage per array: 100 runs. 6.) 1 each ABI brand Septa for 16, 96 and 384 well plates: Septa for ABI PRISM® 3100 Genetic Analyzer and ABI PRISM® 3100-Avant TM Genetic Analyzer. 20 each per package 7.) 100 each Taqman GTXpress Master mix 4000 rxn: Sufficient for 4000 PCR reactions at 5 µL for each reaction. Master Mix: 1 x 10 mL bottle of 2X master mix containing AmpliTaq® Fast DNA Polymerase, UP, dNTPs, Tracking Dye and ROX TM Dye 8.) 1 each Custom Taqman SNP Assays, Non Human: Custom, single-tube TaqMan® reagent-based assays to perform genotyping studies with any possible SNP in any organism Taqman assays to be shipped by 5/31/2011. 9.) 1 each FG 384 Well Clear Rxn Plate: For use with TaqMan® One-Step RT-PCR Master Mix Reagents Kit. 50 units per package Several of our research projects have been going on for several years using Applied Biosystems (ABI) equipment, we cannot change protocols in the middle of these projects. The cost of the research far outweighs any cost savings realized by purchasing chemicals that are not compatible with ABI equipment. All interested parties must respond to this announcement within fifteen (15) calendar days of its publication. Quotes must be FOB destination. Only firms that can provide the exact Applied Biosystems brand laboratory supplies described herein will be considered.
