Description
VA-249-10-IB-0039. The VA Medical Center located at Sidney and Lamont St, Mt. Home, TN, has a construction requirement for Project No. 621-09-101, Renovate Multipurpose Room, B200. Contractor shall completely prepare site for construction project operations, including site staging, and furnish all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision, and perform work for VA Project 621-09-101, Renovate Multipurpose Room, B200 as required by drawings and specifications. North American Industrial Classification Standard (NAICS) code assigned to this project is 236220 with a small business size standard of $33.5 million. The estimated cost range for this project is $1,000,000 to $2,000,000. THIS PROCUREMENT IS 100% SET ASIDE TO SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS (SDVOSB) CONTRACTORS. NOTE: No less than 15% of the LABOR required for completion of this project must be provided by employees on a SDVOSB's payroll. The number of employees must be reflected correctly in the CCR and Dun and Bradstreet report. The SDVOSB program was not established to be used as a 'store front' or on a 'pass through' basis. The SDVOSB owner must work full time for and run the day to day business operation and maintain 100% decision making authority. The Contracting Officer will perform a thorough review of the SDVOSB contractor's business status prior to award, should any inconsistencies or failure to have the proper certifications recorded it may result in disqualification. The SDVOB must be registered and verified in the following websites: www.vip.vetbiz.gov www.ccr.gov https://orca.bpn.gov and https://vets100.vets.dol.gov/ to be eligible for award. ORCA must reflect a small business size certification for the NAICS code noted herein. Bidders must ensure their registrations are updated, correct, and have not expired. Bond information: A 20% Bid bond must be submitted with bid. Performance bond and payment bond will be required from the contractor receiving award. This solicitation will be posted on or about Aug 13, 2010 at the Federal Business Opportunities (Fedbizopps) website www.fedbizopps.gov Paper solicitations will not be issued, contractors must obtain solicitation, drawings, and amendments (if issued) from this website. Bidders are reminded they are responsible for obtaining and acknowledging all amendments to the solicitation prior to the time for bid opening. NOTE: Award is subject to the availability of funds. CONTRACTORS MUST SUBMIT JOINT VENTURE AGREEMENTS WITH THEIR BID. CONTRACTORS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO SUBMIT MORE THAN THREE BIDS IN A TWO YEAR PERIOD UNDER THE NAME OF THEIR JOINT VENTURE.
