- Description
- The following work will be performed at the Melvin Price Federal Building & US Courthouse, 750 Missouri Ave, East St. Louis, IL. The scope of work consists of, but is not strictly limited to, replacing an oversized epdm lined gutter behind the limestone balustrade parapet that has failing insulation and membrane. It has far exceeded its useful life and is currently leaking in several areas. This area surrounds the mansard slate roof and the epdm extends up and under the slate. On the opposite side of the gutter, the epdm shall extend up the limestone parapet and receive a termination bar. Several drains with baskets relieve the water from the gutter. The parapet has numerous seismic struts with 3x3 angle steel anchored back to the slate mansard. Each has a rubber boot that will be replaced to provide a weather-tight seal. Additionally, a new roof hatch will be cut into the top flat area of the mansard roof with a steel ships ladder down into the attic. This will provide a safer entry/exit onto the roof. The estimated start date is Spring, 2011. The NAICS code is 238160, with a size standard of $14 million. The estimated cost range is between $25,000 and $100,000. The solicitation will be issued on or about 8/16/2010. This is a negotiated procurement; there will not be a public bid opening. The solicitation cited above can only be obtained by accessing a secure website known as the Federal Business Opportunities. FBO is a secure website designed to safeguard sensitive but unclassified (SBU) acquisition information. You may access ORCA via the following URL, www.orca.bpn.gov. Potential offerors should refer to the solicitation package regarding instructions involving the use of ORCA. Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading the solicitation and monitoring the website for amendment(s), if any to the solicitation.
