Description
The Weapons Prototype Division (WPD) of the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, CA intends to procure various types of metals in several different alloys, alloy specifications, forms, shapes, sizes, and heat treat levels. The alloys include: Aluminum, Brass, Bronze, Copper, Inconel, Invar, Lead, Magnesium, Molybdenum, Nickel, Stainless Steel, Steel, Titanium, and Tungsten. The forms in which the alloys will be procured include: angle, channel, flat, forge, hex, H-beam, I-Beam, bar, wire, pipe, plate, round, sheet, square tube, T-bar and tubing. The contract will be firm-fixed price, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) type contract that encompasses multiple electronic orders over a two-year basic period of performance with three one-year option periods. The Government will evaluate options at the time of award. The Government intends to utilize the lot unit of issue at the basic contract CLIN level with the delivery schedule specified for each Delivery Order. It is the intent of the Government to award multiple contracts for this type of support, although the Government reserves the right to issue a single contract depending on the solicitation response and the technical capability of the offerors. Contract awardees will be allowed a fair opportunity to compete for orders valued at greater than $3000 under this requirement. This procurement will be awarded as a commercial item in accordance with FAR 12 procedures. The contracts will be awarded on an unrestricted basis. More information to include a sample order shall be provided in the Request for Quotation (RFQ) Solicitation Number N68936-10-T-0206 to be posted on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online website at http://www.neco.navy.mil and the Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.fbo.gov on or about 3 September 2010 to close 20 days from the RFQ issue date. All responsible sources may submit a written quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. All responsible sources must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database at the following website: http://www.ccr.dlis.dla.mil/ccr/scripts/index.html.In accordance with FAR 4.1201, prospective contractors shall complete electronic annual representations and certifications via the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) at http://orca.bpn.gov in conjunction with required registration in the CCR database.
