Description
PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE NOTICE CAREFULLY AS IT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY NOTICE THAT WILL BE ISSUED. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information in this request. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. This procurement is being conducted under Federal Acquisition Regulation parts 12 and 13. The Federal Bureau of Investigation is issuing this acquisition as a Request for Quote (RFQ) under solicitation number 10-Q-LDQ003666. Background: The Federal Bureau of Investigation is responsible for responding to a variety of bombing related incidents within the United States as well as overseas. As a result of this mission requirement the FBI is responsible for maintaining emergency response vehicles that will be used in mission critical operations it is essential that these vehicles are outfitted with the proper emergency lights and sirens as well as other specific accessories for use by FBI personnel. Objective: The primary objective of this requirement is to obtain contractor services to install various emergency equipment on the FBI's emergency vehicles. Scope: The contractor shall provide and install various emergency equipment for twenty (20) 2011 Chevrolet Suburbans, one (1) 2011 Chevrolet Tahoe, two (2) 2011 Chevrolet 3500 Trucks, one (1) 2011 Chevrolet F450 Truck, and one (1) 2011 Chevrolet F350 emergency vehicles used by the FBI. Place of Performance: The work performed under this contract shall be performed at contractor's location. Vehicles will be brought to Contractors facility for installation Additional requirements: 1. The contractor facility shall be within 30 miles of Quantico, VA 2. Warranty - lifetime warranty on installation. 3. Installation of emergency equipment or enhancements will be: twenty (20) 2011 Chevrolet Suburbans, one (1) 2011 Chevrolet Tahoe, two (2) 2011 3500 Chevrolet Trucks, one (1) 2011 Chevrolet F450 Truck, and one (1) 2011 Chevrolet F350 Truck. Specific locations of light assemblies, power supplies, radios and controls, transceivers, speakers, microphones and switch boxes shall be identified at the time of installation by the point of contact. Installation must be professional. Installation must allow for quick and efficient replacement of equipment if damaged or in need of repair. Specific Task: 1. The provision at FAR Clause 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors (June 2008) and addendum are incorporated into this solicitation.
