- The U.S. Army, Army Contracting Command (ACC), Joint Munitions & Lethality (JM&L) Contracting Center, Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000, is conducting market research to locate firms capable of providing a Glovebox that can maintain less than 1% relative humidity with gas purifier, multi user work station. The internal workspace will have the dimensions 1800(W) x 1200(D) x 900(H) [mm], and the material box body will be 304 Stainless Steel. The gas purifier is a 1-filter column and PLC controlled. The circulation blower runs at a maximum of 50 cfm, including water-cooled heat exchanger, the filter column valves are electro-pneumatic. It has PLC controlled main valves, filter column regeneration is PLC-controlled. The box pressure control ranges from -15 to +15 mbar (box can be operated at over or under pressure). The operation panel is a color Touch Panel 5.7''. The front and back windows are polycarbonate with hard coating (chemical and scratch resistant). There are 8 glove port feedthroughs with a diameter 220mm including gloves (Butyl). The Main antechamber has the following dimensions: d=390 mm, l=600 mm, including sliding tray inside. The right side wall has a push-button Evacuation/Refill. An automatic box purging unit with flow control (200 l/min), and a Vacuum pump (10.9 cfm) including oil mist filter. There should be 2 hanging shelves, and electrical feedthrough. There should also be 8 Flanges DN40 for installation of feedthroughs, and 2 HEPA H13 dust filters on the gas inlet and outlet. The large antechamber should have automatic door lock assembly. The mini antechamber should have a 150 mm diameter and 400 mm length, mounted on the right end panel. There should be an H2O analyzer that is PLC controlled and measures the range 0 to 500 ppm. There should also be an O2 analyzer that is PLC controlled and measures the range 0 to 1000 ppm. There should be 2 feedthroughs gas/vacuum that is 3/8', and a 180 mm diameter internal glove port cover. Gloveboxes of this nature are required to handle materials that are sensitive to high levels of humidity. The requested equipment is for handling and processing raw materials for applications in support of the Thermal Battery Materials Characterization and Processing activities conducted within the Advanced Materials Branch. Firms/companies are invited to indicate their interests and capabilities by providing specifications, brochures, manuals, reports, information pertaining to experience on previous projects, specific work previously performed or being performed, any in-house research and development effort, and any other specific and pertinent information as pertains to this particular area of procurement that would enhance the Governments consideration and evaluation of the information submitted. All information is to be submitted via email (10MB limit) at no cost or obligation to the Government; information provided will not be returned. Responses shall also indicate the size of the business entity; large or small.
