Description
This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command. Note: The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport, Rhode Island is NOT accepting quotes or proposals via submission through NECO. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport anticipates placing a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract for the fabrication of Mk 69 torpedo tube components. The components (per drawing requirements) will include (1) Circumferential Land fully machined; 8 each; (2) TMD Insert; 16 each; (3) Screw, Flat CTSK-HD 82 deg, Hex Socket, SLFLKG, 0.190-24UNRC-3AXO.750, 48 each; (4) Screw, Flat CTSK-HD 82 deg, Hex Socket, SLFLKG, 0.500-13UNRC-3AX1.250, 80 each; and (5) TMD Insert; 16 each. This requirement will be solicited as a 100% small business set-aside under NAICS 332999; size standard is 500 employees. Award shall be made on a Best Value basis, with the evaluation criteria being; price, past performance and technical capability Please note that the drawings associated with this procurement will only be available by request. Only those offerors that have an active registration in the Joint Certification Program will be provided the drawing specifications. To request the drawings, please send an email to: debra.dube@navy.mil and include the following information: Company Name, Address, Point of Contact, Telephone, E-mail address, Cage Code and JCP Number. The drawings will be released upon issuance of RFP #N66604-10-R-4151, which is anticipated to be on or about 08/12/2010.Any prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) (http://www.ccr.gov) in order to be eligible for award.
