Description
NASA/DFRC has a requirement for (Quantity 3) VHF/UHF Transceivers. Brand name orequal to acceptable as long as the specifications listed below are met.The Requirements/ Specifications are:1. Channel Spacing: 8.33 kHz (118 137 MHz) 2. EUROCAE: ED-23B compliant 8.33 kHz operation.3. (25 kHz (30 512MHz if required) and 12.5 kHz and 6.25 MHz (400-512 MHz). ExtendedVHF and UHF for versatility in remote operations areas.4. 30 to 400-MHz frequency range provides extended VHF and UHF Aviation, maritime, bandcoverage5. 121.5 and 243.0 MHz GUARD channels, 4-channel scanning.6. Model commonality with NASA Dryden aircraft: ER-2, Global Hawk, IKHANA.7. State-of-the-art all digital design, surface mount technology, modular upgradeableconstruction.8. Synthesizer speed and rapid radio response time compatible with rapid data linkrequirements.9. Data rates up to 100,000 bits/second Line of Sight (LOS) with Bandwidth Modulationcontrol.10. Compatible with Link 11, Link 4A is preferred.11. Compatible with existing 1553 controllers.12. MIL-STD-1553B for remote control.13. Network Capable (UDP and TCPIP)14. Integration engineering support service Maintenance support agreement.This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared inaccordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additionalinformation included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the onlysolicitation, which is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are beingrequested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Offerors are required to usethe On-Line RFQ system to submit their quote. The On-line RFQ system is linked above orit may be accessed at http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=C&pin=. The information required by FAR Subpart 12.6 is included in the on-line RFQ.The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the SimplifiedAcquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13.Questions regarding this acquisition must be submitted in writing (e-mail is preferred)no later than 08/05/2010. Quotes/Proposals are due no later than 4:30 pm local time on08/12/2010. It is the quoter's responsibility to monitor this site for the release ofamendments (if any).
