- Description
- This is a Notice of Intent to award a sole source purchase order for customized training from Staktron Solutions under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). The customized training unique to specific FEMA applications and equipment involves training for Cisco Routing and Switching; Private Branch Exchange Switching, Call Manager, Unified Messaging, High Density Exchange (HDX), multiplexing and integration, UHF single channel TACSAT system configuration and integration, HF, VHF and UHF line of sight, PBX integration, KU SATCOM system configuration and implementation, integrate NSA HAIPE compliance integration into customized network architecture for deployment in compliance with National Communication System (NCS) Directive 3-10, to include extensive hands on training at the Government facility in Washington, DC. Period of performance is anticipated to be from 8/9/2010 through 8/20/2010. The overall objective of this training is to provide extensive and qualitative training on diverse communications systems to ensure FEMA is capable of meeting its NCS 3-10 requirements in a real time environment. Users will become well versed and comfortable in designing, engineering and integrating these complex systems into a comprehensive enterprise tactical network. Extensive hands on training is the hallmark of this customized training. The training is considered commercial in accordance with FAR Part 2 and will be purchased utilizing simplified acquisition procedures in FAR Subpart 13.1. The above named vendor is believed to be the only source who can provide the type of customized training required by the Government. This notice of intent is NOT a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for competitive quotes. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to provide the required training via e-mail to Ms. Sandra Bucher no later than 2:00 PM, EST, Tuesday, 7/27/2010. Email address: Sandra.bucher@dhs.gov. Capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination not to compete this proposed procurement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This is a SDVO small business set-aside requirement.
