Description
This is a request for information only. Your response is not an offer and does not commit the Government to pay any costs incurred in preparation of any submission to this market survey, or to contract for supplies/services. The Marine Corps System Command (MCSC)is conducting a market survey to determine the availability of potential sources for depot-level repair for the Marine Corps' M107 Special Application Scoped Rifle (SASR), NSN 1005-01-469-2133, part number 12983075 currently manufactured by Barrett Firearms. The M107 LRSR is a semi-automatic, short-recoil operated, magazine fed,.50 caliber rifle. Desired repair services shall include:. Inspection to verify unserviceable condition;. Depot-level corrective maintenance and overhaul, calibration and repair/replacement of defective parts, components, sub-components, assemblies including upper and lower receivers, bolt, and barrel; and. Testing/post inspection of repaired M107 as necessary to return the system to a serviceable condition. Respondents shall describe their ability to perform required services in terms of capability (e.g., facilities, tools, test equipment, drawings, technical data and publications, trained personnel, engineering support, and spare parts) and estimated annual capacity, to support workload of approximately 17 rifles annually. Vendors are encouraged to submit past performance data on previous depot maintenance support such as quality, timeliness, schedule, cost, operational effectiveness, and suitability. Companies possessing the capability noted above are encouraged and invited to submit a statement of capability and pricing materials. Responses must include the following: corporate business size, stating whether the company is 8(a) certified, disabled veteran-owned, veteran owned, woman owned, HUB Zone, Native American, or other Small Business Administration approved designations and earliest delivery date for the products to be delivered. MCSC will use the results of this announcement to determine what capabilities exist in the marketplace to fulfill a potential requirement outlined above. Interested firms are requested to submit information on the above listed items no later than 3:00pm EST, 13 August 2010.
