- The following are questions asked during the Pre-Bid Conference held at Butler VAMC on 13 July 2010. 1.Q. Will the tank be empty at time of removal? A.The Gasoline Tank is emptied at this time and has been decommissioned. The Diesel tank is currently in use and will be emptied by the VA prior to removal, assume less than 3"-6" of fuel in tank at time of removal. 2.Q. Are we to remove the pad beneath the tank. A.Yes, remove the tanks and associated systems accessories in their entirety. 3.Q. Does the fill need to be certified as clean fill. A.Yes 4.Q. When are bids due? A.8/16/10 5.Q. Is chain link fence required? A.Yes fence is required - a flexible construction barrier will be acceptable as long as there are no open pit situations when work is not being conducted. If there is an open pit the chain link is required. 6.Q. Will there be submittals required? A.Yes -see specifications
