- Description
- Amendment 1 The U.S. Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center, Icebreaker and Buoy and Construction Tender Product Line, will be issuing a solicitation to perform the inspection, repair and overhaul of American Aero CG300 Oceanmaster Cranes and connex boxes used onboard the 160' and 75' construction tenders. It is anticipated that a requirements type contract with one (1) base year and four (4) option years will be awarded as a result of the solicitation. The solicitation will be issued on a sole source basis, and it is the Government’s intent to negotiate solely with Sparrows Offshore LLC, formerly Energy Cranes LLC. All work is required to be performed in accordance with OEM specifications, standards and recommended overhaul procedures for the specific CG300 Oceanmaster crane model. Technical data and/or drawings pertaining to American Aero/Sparrows Offshore parts and services are propriety and not available for release to the public. The non-availability of technical data precludes the Coast Guard from obtaining competition. The solicitation will be posted on FedBizOpps on or about April 2010. It is the contractor’s responsibility to monitor FedBizopps on a regular basis for release of the solicitation and any amendments that are issued.
