Description
Bagram Regional Contracting Office (BRCC), Bagram Air Field, Afghanistan, has a requirement for the establishment of a multiple award Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for the period of 15 Sep 10 - 14 Sep 11 with the option of 2 additional periods of performance. The requirement is for concrete work on Bagram Air Field, Afghanistan. The concrete work includes, but is not limited to runways, taxiways, sidewalks, roads, concrete pads, and concrete repair; however, the majority of this contract will be for heavy runway/taxiway expansion and repaving/repair. The contractor(s) will be required to provide all plant, labor, materials, tools, equipment, engineering, testing services, supervision, supplies, transportation and all other items as necessary to install 6,000 psi concrete slabs on the airfield at Bagram. Contractor must provide complete test results for aggregates gradation, compressive strength, slump, air ratio, cement mix ration, and temperature in accordance with ASTM Standards. Any concrete which does not arrive onsite within 60 minutes of batch mixing will be immediately rejected. All equipment used must be maintained in good working condition and sized sufficiently to work concrete before it starts to set. Sized appropriately will be interpreted as capable of handling approximately 20ft x 20 ft panels, which are 18 inches deep before concrete sets. Contractor must also meet the strict timelines laid out in the Statement of Work. Contractor must have an English speaking foreman for each job and must have a crew with experience in airfield PCC pavement. Experience must include burlap or membrane curing, dowel installation, surface finishing, control joints, expansion joints, and saw cutting. Foreman must be familiar with airfield safety rule while operating on the airfield. The requirement will be set aside for AFGHAN CONTRACTORS ONLY. Joint ventures with Afghan companies are acceptable. If interested in this requirement, contractors are required to submit past performance information that shows past experience with runways/taxiway paving, repaving, and repair. Please submit a contract number, point of contact, pictures, etc. We require documentation that will prove the contractor can complete runway/taxiway concrete work. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE PAST EXPERIENCE WITH THIS TYPE OF WORK, PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT A RESPONSE!!
