Description
FA4861-10-R-A045 SYNOPSIS The work to be performed under the requirement consists essentially of, but is not limited to, furnishing all labor, supplies, materials, supervision, transportation, equipment, demolition and all else required to design and perform the renovation and repair restrooms, HVAC, plumbing, lighting, electrical, fire protection, communications systems, new interior finishes, exterior repair and site work that includes new sidewalks and utility connections throughout both interior and exterior of buildings 10203 and 10204 at Nellis AFB, Nevada. The contractor will be required to take Government provided 35% design to 95% and 100% design, for both facilities. The government shall review and approve design submissions prior issuance of Notice to Proceed for construction. This is will be solicited as a firm fixed price Request for Proposal (RFP) limited to qualified/eligible HUBZone small business firms certified by the Small Business Administration. Building 10203 is a two-story wood frame and stucco structure that has approximately 11,370 SF on each floor for a total of 22,740 SF above ground to include an 11,370 SF concrete basement. Large portions of the facility will be constructed to meet "open storage" security classification. Additionally, a portion of the basement will be renovated to become a secured area meeting requirements of Director of Central Intelligence Directive (DCID) 6/9, Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF). Building 10204 is a one-story wood frame and stucco structure with concrete slab on grade and has approximately 3,350 SF. Facility has one large auditorium with a sloped concrete floor and 185 seats and various support spaces. This facility will be constructed to meet "open storage" security classification as well as a entrance canopy. Period of Performance and Magnitude: The period of performance for this project is 365 Calendar Days after the issuance of a Notice to Proceed. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 236210 with a size standard of $33.5 million. The project magnitude is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. It is anticipated the solicitation will be issued electronically on or about 09 August 2010, on the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) web page. Paper copies will not be available. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents. Note: Any prospective contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database in order to be eligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number from Dun and Bradstreet. Registration may take up to three weeks to process. Recommend registering immediately in order to be eligible for timely award. Effective 01 Jan, 2005, the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) requires the use of Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) in Federal solicitations as part of the proposal submission process.
