- The Contracting Department, Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC), Norfolk, VA, 23511-3392 intends to issue a firm fixed price contract for musician services in support of the Dam Neck Annex Chapel utilizing procedures under FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. A one year base period and four one-year option periods are anticipated, with options to extend services in accordance with FAR clause 52.217-8. Organist/pianist services are required at both weekly Catholic and Protestant services, as well as during High Holy Day services, funerals/memorials, and designated special events. In addition, the contractor shall conduct two skills and training workshops for music and liturgical ministry volunteers and two weekly choir rehearsals. Specific tasks shall be identified in the Request for Quotation (RFQ). The anticipated award date is on or about 20 August 2010. The requirement will be solicited as a total small business set-aside. The NAICS code applicable to this procurement is 711130. The size standard is $7.0 million. The RFQ, any documents related to this procurement, and all amendments issued will be in electronic form. THE RFQ IS NOT YET AVAILABLE. Once available, the RFQ will be posted to this site (Navy Electronic Commerce Online or NECO). The RFQ will be available on or about 28 July 2010. The NECO website has a "submit bid" button next to the solicitation number. DO NOT use the "submit bid" button on NECO to submit your quotation. All responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the Government. By submitting a quote, the offeror will be self-certifying that neither the principal corporate officials nor owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any Federal Agency. Failure to do so may represent grounds for refusing to accept the offer. The Contracting Officer reserves the right to conduct verbal or written discussions with respect to other than price with the offerors at anytime prior to award. By submission of an offer, the contractor acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract resulting from the RFQ, except for awards to foreign vendors for work to be performed outside the United States. Lack of registration in the CCR database will make a contractor ineligible for award.
