- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12, in conjunction with FAR 13, and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation to be issued for proposals and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Government intends to award a contract to the responsible vendor whose offer best conforms to the specifications, meets the Government's delivery schedule and is the most cost effective in accordance with the Evaluation Criteria. Award shall be based on the lowest technically acceptable quotation. The incorporated provisions and clauses are those that are in effect through the latest Federal Acquisition Circular. It is the contractors' responsibility to be familiar with applicable clauses and provisions. Clause 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions - Commercial Items and Clause 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items are hereby incorporated by reference. The provision at FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors, Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. Offerors are reminded to include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications, Commercial Items, which can be accessed at http://www.arnet.far.gov. The successful offeror must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database to be considered for award. The CCR database may be accessed at www.ccr.gov. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA), Region 4-Atlanta, has a requirement for a Steam Sterilizer -- Primus Sterilizer Company, LLC (catalog/part/model numbers) OR EQUAL - 1 EACH of the following: 1) PSS5-A-ESD--20X20X38 inch Steam Sterilizer w/PSS500 Microcomputer control & printer with standard vacuum, gravity, liquid and test cycles. 316L Stainless Steel Chamber with standard PriMirror interior surface; DA--Single Door, Manual, Vertical Siding; CD--Cabinet, 2 sides; EB--Electric Carbon Steel Boiler 24kW; P6--Drain Water quench; P24--PRI-Saver Water Conservation System; P30--PRI-Pure Reverse Osmosis System; L2--Extendable Bottom Shelf; L3--Additional Chamber; R7--Thermal Printer with Take-up Reel 2) EBO--Electric Boiler Auto Blowdown3) Receive, Inspect, uncrate, set in place, final utilities connection, start-up and user training for one new sterilizer4) Deinstall, remove and haul away of two (2) existing sterilizers5) Less trade-in of 2 units in Item 4 ? Castel Model 3523 S/Ns 9790E9609 & 96H58066) SHIPPING & HANDLING, if applicable, to Athens, GA Sterilizer must have the following specs: (1) The conservation feature must reduce the water usage down to approximately 5 gallons (from estimated 185 gallons) and be mounted inside the Sterilizer cabinet. (2) Electric boiler to produce steam to run the Sterilizer. (3) The water filtration system must remove 99% of the natural contaminants in the local feed water to reduce the need for frequent servicing and cleaning of the electric boiler. (4) No sloped drain. (5) Chamber construction. (6) Local Authorized Service Agent for fast and efficient service.Unless otherwise specified in the purchase order/contract, the supplier is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements and quality control. All interested small business are invited to respond to this requirement within 15 days after publication of this notice. Questions concerning this acquisition shall be submitted IN WRITING and e-mailed to wallace.carole@epa.gov. No paper copies of the Request for Quote will be provided. OFFERS/QUOTES ARE DUE WITHIN 15 DAYS AFTER PUBLICATION OF THIS NOTICE and may be submitted to wallace.carole@epa.gov or faxed to 404/562-8210. It is the offeror's responsibility to ensure receipt of faxes or e-mail quotes. Quotes shall include 1) a schedule (list) of offered items to include unit and total price, 2) delivery time, 3) shipping charges if applicable, and, 4) completed Representations and Certifications (FAR 52.212-3). Telephonic questions will not be answered and collect calls will not be accepted. NOTE: Offerors submitting insufficient information may be eliminated from competition.
