- Description
- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has a single source requirement for the Fluidigm Digital PCR. The FAA intends to solicit and negotiate only with the Fluidigm Corporation, South San Francisco, California, in accordance with Acquisition Management System (AMS) Policy 3.2.2.4, Single Source Selection. This announcement is for informational purposes only, not a request for proposals. Fluidigm Corporation is the owner and developer of the Biomark HX System Bio-Mark Real-Time PCR System. The PCR technology involves the amplification of single DNA molecules. Digital PCR on integrated fluidic circuits provides researchers with the ability to precisely quantitate genes and their expression levels from minute amounts of sample, enabling researchers to find that "needle in the haystack". Potential sources must provide documentation to the FAA showing proof of rights to use the data from Fluidigm. Statements that data will be obtained or that licenses, specifications, or drawings will be developed are not acceptable. Only those responses providing the required documentation in response to this market survey will be considered prior to further action by the FAA. Mark responses to the market survey with Market Survey File 10-0634, to arrive by July 29, 2010. Facsimile responses are permitted at 405-954-3030. Email responses are permitted at Diana.pickel@faa.gov. The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing responses to this market survey. Any proprietary information should be so marked. This market survey shall not be construed as a request for proposal or as an obligation on the part of the FAA to acquire these items. Responders to this market survey may be asked to provide additional details/information based on their initial submittal.
