- RECOVERY" FUNDING UNDER THE AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT - THIS PROJECT IS CONSIDERED A VERY SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE - The FAA is seeking experienced firms to perform the work as required below:The work covers the ZAU parking lot repaving and striping and associated work at the Chicago ARTCC in Aurora, Illinois as follows: 1.Replace portion of concrete driveway and parking area north-west of the ARTCC building per drawing ZAU-GL-D-775-3-8. 2.Replace existing access road west and north of the ARTCC building per drawing ZAU-GL-D-775-3-8.3.Restripe the replaced parking areas. New striping layout shall match existing layout as shown on drawing ZAU-GL-D-775-3-8.4.Provide 4" thick concrete walkway from the access road to the west wall of the ARTCC building per drawing ZAU-GL-D-775-3-8.5. Provide a depressed concrete curb along a portion of the east edge of the access road per drawing ZAU-GL-D-775-3-8.6.Replace damaged portions of existing concrete curbs as directed by the Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR). Allow for 20 lineal feet in base contract.7.Replace existing underground cables (in existing conduits) to all parking lot light standards. See drawing ZAU-GL-D-775-3-8.8.Coordinate with the COTR to schedule the project work in phases to limit the number of parking spaces that will be unavailable at any time. A route shall always be made available for access to the north side of the facility.9.Other work as identified on the drawing and in the specifications.Offer options:10.Bid Option A1: Replace existing Parking Lot in front of ISF Building. See Sketch in Section 011000 of the Specifications.11.Bid Option A2: Replace existing Loading Dock driveway. See Sketch in Section 011000 of the Specifications.12.Bid Option A3: Replace existing Guest Parking Lot. See Sketch in Section 011000 of the Specifications.13.Bid Option A4: Replace existing concrete stair and handrail at the Automation Wing first floor east exit door. See Sketch in Section 011000 of the Specifications.14.Bid Option E1: Replace existing lighting conduit under new main parking lot pavement, including trenching and backfill. See Sketch in Section 011000 of the Specifications.15.Bid Option E2: Replace 20 luminaires on existing light standards in parking areas. Offer range is between $500,000 and $1,500,000 with a performance time of approximately 120+ calendar days. The Request For Offer is anticipated to be available by August 2010. Construction start is anticipated for October/November 2010.
