Description
The Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM), Marine Corps Enterprise Services (MCES), Program Management Office, requires technical and training services to develop and deliver training services for system administrators and functional operators of the Tactical Collaborative Work Suite (TCWS). MCES is currently developing and fielding the next generation (TCWS 2.0). The collaboration system has brought updated capabilities. These capabilities are based on modern technologies including server virtualization, storage arrays and networks, collaboration technologies including portal/asynchronous collaboration (Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) and synchronous collaboration (Adobe Connect and Jabber Extensible Communications Platform (XCP) capabilities, systems management, replication (Infonic Geo-Replicator), backup and restoration features, and Enterprise Services Management capabilities. The TCWS Project Officer (PO) requires the development and training of a curriculum on these technologies that will include best practice configuration and usage, and their specific tools usage within the TCWS Platform. The scope is to develop and deliver a training course related to TCWS fielding and new user training. This project will require development of a training curriculum and relevant training support materials, curriculum pilot course, and curriculum implementation. Training will be within the contiguous United States (CONUS) and outside Conus (Okinawa, Japan), related to unit level system and application configuration, operation, and maintenance of the TCWS. Areas are, but not limited to, overall system architecture, systems management, application management, platform instruction, training materials, student handouts and documentation, training system transport, maintaining and updating courseware materials, and expert technical support to augment the MCES ! TCSW PO. The period of performance is three years, which includes two (2) one-year options. This acquisition is being offered for competition and limited to eligible 8(a) concerns under the SBA 8(a) Program, FAR Subpart 19.8. The NAICS code is 541519. It is requested that interested 8(a) firms provide notice electronically of their interest to the Contracts Office by 26 July 2010 at: MCSC_ISI@usmc.mil. A copy of the solicitation will be provided 28 July 2010. The solicitation will not be posted, but will be provided electronically by the Contracts Office to the interested party. Questions or Request for Comments (RFCs) are due by 2 August 2010 with answers to be provided by 4 August 2010. Due date and time for receipt of proposals is 4:00 P.M. 30 August 2010.
