Description
Project 636-10-115, Tuck Point Main Hospital - Contractor shall completely prepare site for building operations, including cleaning of existing structure, and furnish labor and materials and perform work to place mortar into cut or raked joints to correct defective mortar joints (tuck pointing, hereinafter referred to as re-pointing) and/or to remove and replace defective window/door lintels and/or to clean out and place joint sealants around window/door frames in identified wall areas of the 6-story main hospital building (Building No. 1) of the Grand Island VA Medical Center located at 2201 North Broadwell Avenue, Grand Island, NE 68803. All work to be performed as required by drawings and specifications. Solicitation Number VA-263-10-IB-0365 for this effort will be posted to FedBizOpps (www.fedbizopps.gov) on or about August 6, 2010. This solicitation will contain all necessary specifications, drawings and other information necessary to bid the project. An Organized Site Visit is tentatively scheduled to be held on Friday, August 13, 2010 (see solicitation when available for specific time/date/place. The Bid Opening is tentatively scheduled to be held on Friday, September 10, 2010 (see solicitation when available for specific time/date/place). The successful bidder will be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds within 10 calendar days of award notification. The Period of Performance is expected to be 365 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice-to-Proceed. THIS SOLICITATION IS SET ASIDE FOR SERVICE-DISABLED VETERAN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES (SDVOSBs) UNDER PUBLIC LAW 109-461. Disclosure of the magnitude of construction projects: The estimate of the total project is between $1,000,000.00 and $2,000,000.00.
