- Description
- NAICS Code: 334516 On behalf of the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention (OCSPP), Office of Pesticide Programs (OPP), Biological and Economic Analysis Division (BEAD), Analytical Chemistry Branch (ACB), the Program Contract ServiceCenter (PCSC) plans to award a purchase order using the procedures set forth in FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures to Waters Corporation, of Milford, Massachusetts. The purpose of this procurement is to obtain a 1-year Total Assurance Plan (to include 1- performance maintenance visit each) for the Quattro Premier MS/MS detector, Acquity LC components, and MassLynx Software 1-year plan for a Waters/Micromass Quattro Premier LC/MS/MS system. This plan covers all components of the LC system (UPLC Binary Solvent Manager, UPLC Sample Manager, and UPLC TUV Detector). The period of performance is 08/01/10 through 07/31/11. ACB evaluates analytical methods for detecting pesticide residues in food and fibers to make sure they are suitable for monitoring and to enforce maximum legal residue limits. Continual servicing and maintenance of this equipment is critical to maintain work flow and operations. Market research has identified Waters as the only source for this procurement. Notwithstanding, any firm that believes it is capable of meeting the Agency's requirements, as stated in this announcement, may submit their corporate capabilities. Responses must be in writing and submitted via e-mail to Abbie Jemmott at Jemmott.Abbie@epa.gov by 9:00 am EST Tuesday, July 27, 2010. All questions should be directed to Abbie Jemmott, Contract Specialist via e-mail at the address above.
