Description
CBOC Sources Sought Synopsis: The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Health Care System, 4500 S. Lancaster Road, Dallas, TX 75216, is seeking sources to provide Primary, Preventive, and Mental Health care through Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) in the North Texas Counties of Wise, Jack, Clay, Archer, Baylor, Young, Montague, and Throckmorton. Services are to be performed to approximately 1,400 eligible beneficiaries, as described in the attached Statement of Work. Parties capable of providing these services must respond in writing to the attention of the Contracting Officer listed in this announcement by July 26, 2010, at 12:00 p.m. CST. NAICS Code is 621498, Size $10 Million. Capable parties must also provide in writing, their business size and description/type. DESCRIPTION/SPECIFICATIONS/WORK STATEMENT PURPOSE: The VA North Texas health Care System (VANTHCS) is contracting with healthcare providers to provide primary, preventive and mental health care for veterans in their local communities for the purpose of improving efficiencies in healthcare management and increasing access to primary care for eligible veterans. The contractor(s) shall provide for the continuous delivery and management of primary care for all enrolled VA patients. Referrals for specialty care, extensive diagnostic work-ups and non-emergency hospitalization shall be made to the VANTHCS. The geographic area covered by the contract(s) covers the Texas counties Wise, Jack, Clay, Archer, Baylor, Young, Montague, and Throckmorton. The VA intent is to contract for primary care in the veterans ™ local community. Hospitals, medical centers, outpatient clinics, physician practices, physician groups, etc. are encouraged to participate in this program. Enrollment of veterans outside these counties requires agreement by both parties. The contractor shall provide health care clinical providers, medical facilities, medical equipment and supplies, short-term pharmaceutical prescriptions, and all administrative functions to fulfill the level of care and range of services. The VA estimates that each patient shall make four visits per year to the contractor ™s primary care facility. This number is an estimate and should be used for informational purposes only. A determination by the Government to compete the proposed procurement based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice does not constitute a solicitation or a commitment by the Government to later publish a solicitation. No solicitation document is available. Capable parties must submit their ability to provide these items in writing to the attention of the Contracting Officer listed in this announcement by 12:00 P.M CST on July 26, 2010.
