- ***Amendment 0001*** The purpose of Amendment 0001 to solicitation W56HZVTARRES20710 is to change the delivery date from 01 August 2010 to 02 August 2010. The closing date of the solicitation has been extended to 16 July 2010 at 9:00 A.M. EDT. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. I. INTRODUCTION A. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Parts 12.6 and 13, as supplemented with additional information in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. B. The combined synopsis and Request for Quotation (RFQ) number is: W56HZVTARRES20710. C. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular Fac 2005- 44, Effective 08 July 2010. D. The NAICS code applicable to this acquisition is 327211. This procurement is competed on a full and open basis. E. Delivery is 02 August 2010. F. Basis for award Award shall be made to the responsible offeror having the lowest price, technically acceptable. II. GENERAL A. The United States Army Tank and Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center (TARDEC) in Warren, Michigan has a requirement for borosilicate glass panels: - 375 Pieces at 10 inches x 10 inches x 1 inch - 50 pieces at 10 inches x 10 inches x.75 inch - 50 pieces at 14 inches x 14 inches x.75 inch The borosilicate glass panels must meet DIN ISO 3585 and ASTM E 438-98 (2001), Type 1, Class A. If the specifications have conflicting information, the more stringent standards will apply. The tolerances of the glass panels shall be +/-0.030 inch for the length and width. The glass panels shall be +/-0.040 inch for the depth. The edges must be water jut cut and chamfered. Glass shall be packed using commerical grade packaging. Contractor is to deliver all glass pieces no later than 02 Aug 2010. B. Quotations must be received by the Government no later than 9:00 A.M. EDT, 16 July 2010.
