Description
VA Medical Center, Fargo, North Dakota is seeking potential firms that have the capability for Project: 437-10-190 Pandemic Flu Storage Building. Contract completion is 120 calendar days after notice to proceed. This procurement is 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) contractors. The estimated dollar value is $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. NAICS code is 236220 with a size standard of $33.5 million. A 20% bid bond is required at submission of bids. Performance and Payment bonds will be required within 10 calendar days of contract award. To be eligible for award, SDVOSB must be considered small under the relevant NAICS code and must be registered and verified in the following sites: www.vetbiz.gov, www.orca.bpn.gov and www.ccr.gov. Work shall include, but shall not be limited to, providing all labor, material, equipment, etc necessary to provide a new modular Storage Building for the Pandemic Flu Cache Storage. This work will include site grading, reinforced concrete pad, new electrical service and security system from the adjacent warehouse to the new modular building, grounds restoration, modular building, delivery, placement, and anchoring of building. The modular building will include an overhead door, a walk through door, lighting, and HVAC systems factory configured as part of the building package. The construction contractor shall be required to supply all materials and labor to complete the objectives specifically stated in the scope of work and drawings/specifications. The successful construction contractor shall be required to complete work on site during normal business hours (8 am “ 4:30 pm M-F) on a schedule mutually agreed upon by the construction contractor and VA Engineering Technical Representative. The construction contractor shall be required to coordinate any necessary utility outages directly with the VA Engineering Technical Representative to ensure disruption to patient care is mitigated. The construction contractor shall under no circumstance be allowed to work any electrical live. All work shall be in compliance with all applicable life safety codes, NFPA, NEC, VA Design Guides and all other applicable codes. This solicitation is anticipated to be available on www.fbo.gov on or about August 2, 2010. Requests for solicitation documents made by telephone, fax or e-mail will not be honored.
