- Pre-Solicitation Notice W912DQ-10-T-0111 Extension and Relocation of Water Lines and Installation of Frost Proof Water Hydrants Located at Various Public Use Areas of the Harry S. Truman Dam and Reservoir Project, 15 July 2010 The US Army Corp of Engineers, Kansas City District, will issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) for a firm-fixed price contract for the extension and relocation of water lines and installation of frost proof water hydrants at various locations in the Public Use Area of the Harry S. Truman Dam and Reservoir Project. The general scope of work consists of the following: "The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, materials, supplies, transportation, security and supervision necessary to satisfactorily accomplish the work in accordance with the Scope of Work (SOW) provided in the solicitation. "The Contractor shall dig down to and connect to existing water lines and extend the new lines to a point listed on site maps or described in the scope of work. There are 19 sites listed in the scope of work. "The Contractor shall extend the line using 1 inch PVC schedule 80 pipe and fittings. The line shall be installed a minimum depth of 3 feet using industry standards in bedding and backfilling. "The frost proof hydrants shall be four foot bury type with a four foot square area cribbed using 6 inch by 6 inch treated wood. The area inside the cribbing shall be filled with creek gravel. The stop and waste valve shall be install outside of the cribbed area. "Finish site preparation shall include leveling site to original grade, dressed with top soil and seeded with KY-31 and Rye grass blend. "Department of Labor Wage Rates will apply "Contractor payment protection will be required "Complete details of requirements will be furnished with the solicitation which will be posted 30 July 2010 "The Contractor shall monitor performance and ensure compliance in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract. The performance period will be from date of award through 30 September 2010. "Anticipated date of award on or about 1 September 2010. The solicitation will be available on or about 30 July 2010. The solicitation will be posted to FedBizOps located at https://www.fbo.gov. Proposals will be due no later than 9:00 a.m. CDT 30 August 2010. The government intends to compete a firm-fixed price procurement that is SET-ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESS. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this project is 221310. SBA size standard is $7.0. Please note that vendors must be currently registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database and Online Registration and Certification Application (ORCA).
