Description: Pre-Solicitation Notice W912DQ-10-T-0110 Sewage Lift Station Removal and Installation of New Fiberglass Tank with 5HP Pump and Controls located at Long Shoal Public Use Areas of the Harry S. Truman Dam and Reservoir Project, 15 July 2010 RECOVERY-- Under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), the US Army Corp of Engineers, Kansas City District, will issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) for a firm-fixed price contract for the Sewage Lift Station Removal and Installation of a New Fiberglass 4 foot by 8 foot diameter tank with 5HP Meyers Duplex Grinder Pump Package and Controls at Long Shoal Public Use Areas of the Harry S. Truman Dam and Reservoir Project. The general scope of work consists of the following: "The contractor will furnish all labor, equipment, materials, supplies, transportation, security and supervision necessary to satisfactorily accomplish the work in accordance with the Scope of Work (SOW) provided in the solicitation. "The demolition and removal of 4 foot by 8 foot diameter concrete duplex grinder pump to include removal of check valve tank and valves, vent, and control wiring and controls. "The Contractor shall remove and dispose of all waste products according to Missouri Department of Natural Resources guidelines. Concrete debris will have an on site disposal area. "Installation shall be completed to Department of Natural Resources Construction Permit and Engineered Plan Specifications. "Finish site preparation shall include leveling site to original grade, dressed with top soil and seeded with KY-31 and Rye grass blend. "Department of Labor Wage Rates will apply "Contractor payment protection will be required "Complete details of requirements will be furnished with the solicitation which will be posted 30 July 2010 "The Contractor shall monitor performance and ensure compliance in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract. The performance period will be from date of award through 30 September 2010. "Anticipated date of award on or about 1 September 2010. The solicitation will be available on or about 30 July 2010. The solicitation will be posted to FedBizOps located at https://www.fbo.gov. Proposals will be due no later than 9:00 a.m. CDT 30 August 2010. IAW FAR 36.204 the magnitude of this requirement is between $25,000.00 & $100,000.00 The government intends to compete a firm-fixed price procurement that is SET-ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESS. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this project is 221320. SBA size standard is $7.0. Please note that vendors must be currently registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database and Online Registration and Certification Application (ORCA). Additionally there are some unique reporting requirements relevant to the use of ARRA funds (see FAR 52.204-11 for details).
