- Description
- The purpose of this amendment is to incorporate technical changes to the requirements and add a due date/time for all questions to be submitted by. 1. Line Item 0001 is hereby amended to incorporate changes to the technical specifications as follows: 1.1 Specification 3.2 in Section 3 is hereby amended as follows: FROM: 3.2 The Raman spectrometer and microscope shall be compatible with a wavelength range of 300 nm - 1700 nm without needing change of optics, re-alignment or re-focusing of optics, and therefore reflective optics are required; In order to cover the range over 1100nm, additional detector ports are required for future upgrade to InGaAs array and extended InGaAs detectors. All three detectors shall able to be mounted simultaneously. TO: 3.2 The Raman spectrometer and microscope shall be compatible with a wavelength range of 300 nm - 1700 nm without needing change of optics, re-alignment or re-focusing of optics; In order to cover the range over 1100nm, additional detector ports are required for future upgrade to InGaAs array and extended InGaAs detectors. All three detectors shall able to be mounted simultaneously. 1.2 Specification 3.5 in Section 3 is hereby amended as follows: FROM: 3.5 The Raman spectrometer shall include at least 2 gratings blazed at 500 nm to provide different combinations of high spectral resolution(0.5 cm-1 /pixel at 532nm with a 1800g/mm grating) at lower range or lower spectral resolution with greater range (up to at least 3000 cm-1, such as with a 300g/m mgrating). For future near UV work, a resolution of about 1cm-1/pixel with 2400g/mm grating is required. The use of gratings higher than 1800g/mm is not desirable for visible and NIR work, due to the loss of reflectivity at high angles. Smilarly the use of gratings higher than 2400g/mm for NUV is not desireable TO: 3.5 The Raman spectrometer shall include at least 2 gratings blazed at 500 nm to provide different combinations of high spectral resolution(0.5 cm-1 /pixel at 532nm with a 1800g/mm grating) at lower range or lower spectral resolution with greater range (up to at least 3000 cm-1, such as with a 300g/m mgrating). The use of gratings higher than 1800g/mm is not desirable for visible and NIR work, due to the loss of reflectivity at high angles. 2. All questions regarding this solicitation must be submitted in writing via email to the Contract Specialist no later than 12 noon EST on July 19, 2010. Only questions submitted before the deadline shall be addressed.
