- Under Statutory Authority 41 USC 253 (c )(1) the Government anticipates entering into sole source acquisition negotiations for placement and services of eligible veterans into 10-nursing home facilities located at: Schoolcraft County Medical Care Facility, 520 Main Street, Manistique, MI 49854; The Willows Nursing & Rehab Center, 41 Rickel Rd, Sun Prairie, WI 53590; Golden Living Center-Riverdale, 1000 N. Wisconsin Ave, Muscoda, WI 53573; Millway Healthcare, 8534 West Mill Road, Milwaukee, WI 53225; Woodland Village Nursing Center of Oconto, 101 1st Street, Oconto, WI 54153; Alden Meadow Park, 709 Meadow Park Drive, Clinton, WI 53525; Alden Estates of Countryside, 1130 Collins Road, Jefferson, WI 53549; Woodstock Health & Rehab Center, 3415 Sheridan Road, Kenosha, WI 53140; Virginia Highlands, WI, Manor Care Health Services - Kingsford, 1225 Woodward Ave, Kingsford, MI 49802. This acquisition is for VA Hospitals/Medical Centers in VISN 12. Basic Ordering Agreements will be set up for a base year with 4 one-year options. The above authority is cited and justification made based on the determination that the Government's minimum needs can best be satisfied by services available from one source in a specific area of responsibility. This action is for services which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under FAR 6.302-1. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive acquisition.
