Description
The work of this project consists of the removal and replacement of two existing boilers in Building #109, Boston National Historical Park, Charlestown Navy Yard, Boston, MA. Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, materials and any other incidentals necessary for the removal of the existing boilers and installation of two replacement boilers in order to obtain the following objectives: tie in to existing piping and ductwork, perform as energy efficient as possible for the size and type needed to replace the existing system, meet all the codes and standards for the state of Massachusetts, operate reliably and easily maintained. The National Park Service anticipates entering into a firm fixed-price contract for the work. The NAICS code and size standard for this procurement are 238220 and $14.0 million. Only one award shall be made. The information on where to submit quotes will be in the solicitation documents. A completed quote package shall include one copy of completed SF18, Request for Quotations with original signature; completed quote schedule and completed Section K, Online Representations and Certifications (ORCA). Award will be made to the responsive and responsible quoter whose quote will be most advantageous to the government, considering only price and price related factors included in the request for quotation. Questions concerning this request for quotation must be submitted via e:mail to ellen_barr@nps.gov. Telephone requests will not be accepted. Requests being sent via mail must contain a verifiable return address or they will not be opened. The solicitation is being issued subject to P.L. 100-656, Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. It is subject to full and open competition. Paper copies of the solicitation shall not be issued but electronic copies of the solicitation will be available to download on the National Business Center website (http://ideasec.nbc.gov) on or about July 28, 2010
