- The work of this project requires the Contractor to provide all labor, supervision, materials, equipment, and services as needed for (1) the installation of a liner, ladder, hardware, disinfection, testing, of the concrete west compartment and (2), removal and relocation of the valves from the existing valve house adjacent to the storage facility to the new locations indicated in the approved plan set. The valve relocation work includes the valves, valve, risers, fittings, thrust blocking, excavation, backfill, compaction, temporary water bi-pass, disinfection, and testing.The project range is estimated to be between $250,000 and $500,000. Project completion is required by September 30, 2011. The site is not available for inspection without a Government escort and the proper specialized safety equipment. A site visit and tour will be arranged by the Park Facility Manager. This will be the only opportunity to view the existing conditions prior to an award. The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be available on/about July 29, 2010 by electronic means only and can be downloaded along with all related attachments from the FedBizOpps site at http://www.fbo.gov or directly from the Department of Interior website at http://ideasec.nbc.gov. The RFP will close 30 days from the actual date of issuance. The Contractor is responsible for periodically checking the website for anyAmendments that may be issued prior to the closing date. This acquisition is Set-Aside for Hub Zone Concerns under NAICS Code 237110.
