- The U.S. Geological Survey Earth Resources Observation and Science (EROS) Data Center, 47914 252nd Street, Sioux Falls, SD 57198 is seeking continuing maintenance service for a Datron 10-meter antenna, Assembly #128276 System Top Assy, LGS, (preventative maintenance, technical support, and repair of equipment as authorized), which captures data from the Landsat and SPOT Satellites. The Datron 10-meter antenna also receives critical telemetry and commands the Landsat 5 and 7 spacecrafts. The scope of this effort is required in order to ensure that the equipment stays in optimal operating condition at all times. Service must be provided by certified Datron technicians who have access to the proprietary design information required to troubleshoot the specific Datron 10 meter antenna system at the EROS Data Center, as well as provide the necessary Datron replacement components which are compatible with existing equipment. Several objectives of this support are as follows: On-site Preventative Maintenance, Phone or E-mail Technical Support, and Repair of Equipment, which will be a "not to exceed" dollar amount to cover repairs as needed.This procurement is a "Request for Proposal" (RFP) and is subject to the provision of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. The proposed contract is not a set-aside. Responses will be due approximately 15 days following issuance of the solicitation. Search by referencing the solicitation number 10HQSS0033, Department of the Interior, USGS. This solicitation may be viewed/downloaded by going to www.fedbizopps.gov. on or about July 14, 2010. Proposals shall be clearly marked 10HQSS0033 Datron Maintenance and mailed to Ms. Barbara Nelson at the U.S. Geological Survey, 12201 Sunrise Valley Drive, Reston, VA 20192 no later than July 29, 2010 at 2:00 PM local time, Reston, VA. PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED AND OR FAX REQUESTS FORTHIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. The place of performance shall be at the U.S Geological Survey EROS Data Center, 47914 252nd Street, Sioux Falls, SD 57198. The awarded contract will be a firm fixed price contract, including all travel, travel time, per diem, transportation, parts/labor, and repairs. The Government anticipates awarding a single contract for a one year Base Period plus four option years. The anticipated award date is on or about September 1, 2010. The USGS requires a firm fixed priced commercial service contract. The Product Service Code is J058 and the North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 811213 with a size standard of $7.0M. All responsible sources that have a valid Dun & Bradstreet number and are registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) may submit a quote that shall be considered by the agency. According to the FAR Subpart 4.1102 contractors must be registered in CCR prior to the award of any contract. Access the following web site to register https://www.bpn.gov/ccr/default.aspx. According to the FAR Subpart 4.201 contractors must complete their Online Annual Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) prior to the closing date of the proposal on line at http://orca.bpn.gov. According to the FAR Subpart 22.1302 (b) contractors and sub-contractor must complete the required annual Vets-100 Form in order to be eligible for contract award.
